Snowshoe Paradise

With the first fall of substantial snow, the backyard begins to look like my personal paradise. I have a pair of new "hi-tech" fancy titanium-alloy-with-spiked-cleets-for-ice snowshoes but they never felt as natural to me as my old fashioned rawhide and wood pair. They have let me explore the Northwoods at great abandon and even now in my rural home, they open up a new world that trespasses across the fields trying to discover another sunset or animal track that no one else would ever thing to look for.
